George Z. Guo, Ph.D., P.E. is the CEO and Principal Engineer of ZFI. Dr. Guo has more than 20 years of experience in civil engineering and water resources, with specializations in hydrology, hydraulics, and water systems monitoring. He has extensive experience in conducting hydrodynamic and hydrological modeling, hydrographic surveys, and designing drainage and sewer systems. Dr. Guo has performed many water-resources engineering projects including environmental impact assessments, regional water-supply planning projects, water-budget analysis, hydraulic analysis for both pressurized and gravity flow systems, and hydrological analysis of watersheds and drainage basins. Dr. Guo is an expert at understanding the factors involved in collecting accurate stream-flow data. He also is proficient with statistics and GIS, and has firsthand experience with the operation and maintenance of complex hydraulic structures, including the pumping stations for controlling the flow of water in southern Florida. In addition to his technical expertise, Dr. Guo has been instrumental in developing partnerships with Federal, State and local government agencies, and with other engineering firms. Dr. Guo spent more than a decade in the public and private sectors, prior to founding ZFI Engineering & Construction, Inc. in 2001. As a result, he knows the importance of teamwork, integrity, and quality in providing for the needs of our clients. Dr. Guo received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa in 1990 , and also holds Master of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering and Applied Mathematics. Robb Miller is the Construction Department Manager. Robb is a Florida licensed general contractor with over 10 years of experience in managing a wide spectrum of construction projects. Robb has also served as a Commercial Division Manager, General Manager, Commercial Projects Manager, and Site Manager for multiple construction firms. He has experience building schools, medical facilities, parks, warehouses, theme park structures, and a wide variety of commercial buildings. Robb’s specialty is site development and construction of commercial facilities. His expertise includes the installation of sewer and storm water systems, vertical building construction, project cost estimating, computer aided design, drafting and construction management. He is a certified welder/machinist and has served in the U.S. Marine Corps Special Forces. Mary Reckenberger serves as Human Resources and Office Manager for ZFI. Ms. Reckenberger has over 25 years of professional experience in accounting, the last 6 of which have been specific to the construction field. Ms. Reckenberger oversees all aspects of human resources and payroll at ZFI, including rigorous pre-employment screening and labor-law compliance procedures, set up and maintenance of the current company Drug-Free Workplace program, administration of the Worker's Compensation program, and the maintenance and annual review of the Employee Benefits Package. A native of Missouri, where she obtained her degree in Accounting from St. Louis Community College, Ms. Reckenberger has lived in Florida for 25 years. |
